I GET REPLACEMENT PARTS FROM YAMAHA NEXT DAY DELIVERY TO NAPLES FL.

I FOUND THAT BY ME ORDERING PARTS I WAS ABLE

yamaha prs 740 battery replacement

When the battery goes dead on the yamaha prs 740, does the keyboard lose its internal programming and sounds, and if so, once the battery is replaced, is the information available to reprogram the internal sounds?

Frage zu ihrer INFO:
Die Einstellungen bleiben im Gedächtnis mit der Hilfe eines Kapitalgebers, der beim Einstecken aufgeladen wird. Frage: Können sie erklären, was ein "Kapitalgeber" ist, und wo das Teil am Keyboard PSR 740 angeschlossen werden soll? Ein Dankeschön, wenn ich eine Antwort bekommen könnte.

Habe seit 2 Wochen Probleme mit dem PSR 740. Beim Anschalten des Gerätes lässt sich nicht mehr der Rhythmus (Styles) anschalten, sowie auch die Midifiles. Sie werden im Display angezeigt, aber man kann nichts hören. Wenn ich die Werkseinstellung wieder aktiviere, geht alles wie früher. Ich lade meine abgesicherten Registrierungen über meine Diskette wieder ins Gerät, und das Keyboard ist wieder funktionsfähig. Leider sind beim ausschalten des Gerätes wieder die selben Probleme, wie ich sie beschrieben habe. Frage:!!! Hat das PSR 740 eine Bufferbatterie (Knopfzelle) oder ähnliches im inneren des Gehäuses. Kann man diese auswechseln? oder auswechseln lassen.??? Für eine klare verständliche Antwort wäre ich sehr Dankbar. Mit freundlichen musikalischen Grüße! Micha

HI DAVE,

THE SETTINGS REMAIN IN MEMORY WITH THE AID OF A CAPACITOR THAT IS CHARGED WHEN PLUGGED IN.
IF YOU LEAVE IT UNPLUGED FOR ABOUT A WEEK ALL
YOUR SETTINGS WILL BE RESET.

I GOT THIS INFO AT (EPINIONS.COM)

I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM BECAUSE I USE IT ALMOST
EVERY DAY AND IT'S ALWAYS PLUGED IN.

Yamaha psr740 floppy interface

Is the psr740 floppy interface IDE or ???

I've seen interface boards that require an IDE interface which allow SD cards to be used instead of a floppy. Having been able to do that at the church's CVP307 (because it has an USB interface) I realize how wonderful it would be to have the massive capacity of an SD card instead of a paltry floppy's capacity.

You buy a usb interface for the PSR740 you take out the 3.5 drive and replace it with the usb drive,you then split the usb stick into 1.44 units and can then use the PSR with all your songs on one usb stick
