Yamaha MOTIF ES8 Review

Yamaha MOTIF ES8 Review

Ok. Now it's time to talk about the Yamaha MOTIF ES8 music production synthesizer. Well while the Motif ES6 has 61 keys, and the Motif ES7 has 76, this one comes with 88.

Really, this keyboard is similar to the other Yamaha Motif ES keyboards, except for the number of keys it comes with. So if you've read my other two reviews (of the Motif ES6 and ES7) you know how I feel about this keyboard. I absolutely love it.

Highly Recommended: Go here for the BEST piano/keyboard course I’ve seen on the Internet.

As can be expected, this one costs more than the other two. Last time I checked it was being sold at a leading online musical instrument store for 2,599 bucks. If the price shocks you, don't worry. As far as I'm concerned the Yamaha ES8 is worth every cent.

What are the features on this Yamaha MOTIF ES 8 synthesizer?

Yamaha MOTIF ES8

Well like its counterparts it comes with 1,024 voices, 65 drum kits, 175MB wave ROM, 1,859 waveforms, 8 types of mastering effects, 20 reverb types, 49 chorus/delay types, 128 note polyphony, a 5-band master equalizer, an Advanced Phrase Factory arpeggiator, newly developed synth engine, and a Mega Voice system for samples. Pretty impressive features! I can name several other specifications and go on and on about its features but I prefer to let the folks at the Yamaha Corporation do that.

Permit me to talk about how I feel about the Yamaha MOTIF ES8 88-key music production synthesizer. This workstation is the bomb! If you're looking for a machine that is great for live performance as well as the studio, this is it. Yamaha has truly created something very special with lots of polyphony, memory, sounds, as well as lots of room for expansion.

And I must say that I really like the expansion board feature on the ES8 keyboard. With such a feature I'm not limited to what is originally offered. I can go beyond what comes in the box. This is where the Yamaha MOTIF ES8 has an advantage over keyboards like the Triton Extreme. With the Triton Extreme you're pretty much stuck with what Roland sells it with.

If you want the best of the best, you've got it. Yamaha's reputation in the musical instruments field is unrivaled, and the MOTIF ES8 is their best synth, so you know what we're dealing with here. Any serious keyboard player or studio owner who has got the money should consider getting this keyboard. Go for it! You will not be disappointed.
