Transpose problem NEW
by: Deb

Hi - I have a yamaha PSR E403 keyboard but can no longer access the transpose button - I press function then go thru the categories, but TRANSPOSE doesn’t appear any more on the list, which eventually repeats itself! Help!

Transpose

How can I have the keyboard remember that I prefer -12 in transpose mode, rather than having to do it manually each time I power up

PSR E 403 Transpose
by: Alfred

Dear James: This may be a case of the “Blind leading the Blind”!
I am a newbie at the PSR E 403 and have a DVD which indicates that you:
1) Press the FUNCTION Button, 2) Use the CATEGORY Buttons to select TRANSPOSE (on Display), 3) Use the DIAL to set the transpose value(between -100 and + 100 for small pitch changes) & (between -12 and + 12 for large pitch changes). Page 66 of the Owner’s Manual further states that in the case of the small pitch changes, the tuning is shifted up or down by a
maximum of 100 cents in one cent increments (100 cents equal one semitone) and in the case of large pitch changes the pitch can be shifted up or down by a maximum of one octave in semitone increments. It also states that Drum Kits cannot be changed. As I have not yet twiddled with the above procedure, I can only offer it in the hope it will be of help. All the best!
