My Yamaha Keyboard

I have a yamaha keyboard and a USB cable came with it. I want to connect it to garageband on my new macbook so that I can record what I play and edit it. It does nothing when I just plug the keyboard into the laptop I don't know how to get garageband to recognize it or if I need some type of software. It came with a CD to install on the computer but I have no idea where the CD is now.


How can I hook up my yamaha keyboard to my garageband on my macbook?

Hola. Tengo un psr s900 y quiero usarlo con mi Macbook pero los controladores que vienen en el cd son para windows. Estoy usando una interfaz tascam us-122. Sí puedo grabar en garageband pero solo como audio y quiero grabar midi para manejar cada intrumento por separado. ¿Qué software me puede ayudar? o ¿necesito otra interfaz?. Gracias por la respuesta.

What kind of usb lead are you using. I use a yamaha usb-midi interface UX16, and this works fine..
