Yamaha PSR-EW300 Keyboard

Need advice on connecting the entitled keyboard to an external amp. This keyboard has a Phone/Output jack. I believe this is a 1/4" stereo connector. Most keyboard amps have 1/4" mono inputs. Do I need a stereo keyboard amp in order to hear the keyboard as intended or will the mono input amps work okay?
