Yamaha Psr 350 will not play

by jerry Grubb

Power will come on the unit but it makes no types of noise. Is there a button I need to push or something needs reset. I have lost the manual but purcjased it new about 5 years ago and it has not been used very much.

Lost power/manual
by: Dick Rector

Hello Jerry,

Follow Alfreds advice! Unless you're an electronics expert there is nothing you can do about the circuitboards yourself etc.

If you are looking for a manual go to:

www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/index.php

Look up your model keyboard and you can download the manual in PDF format.
Let us know when/if you solved the problem so others can hopefully benefit from your experience.
Regards
Dick

Silent PSR 350
by: Alfred

Dear Jerry: 1) When power comes ON, is your keyboard being energized by Batteries, or by an Adaptor? These power sources are generally two separate circuits. Try one OR the other and press keys to see if sound comes on. 2) Ensure that battery compartment terminals are clean. Likewise make sure adaptor PLUG and the keyboard JACK are clean. 3) Check condition of Adaptor if one is used.
Infrequent use or long storage may have affected internal electrolytic capacitors resulting in loss of sound.
WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT OPEN YOUR KEYBOARD. Rather, check around for a qualified repar service if the problem continues.
