CVP401
by: douglas

These comments give me hope.
BUT
Mine turns on and there is a blank blue screen, no sound, no keys work, and no LED`s show light.
Tried both reset 1, (switch on with last white key depressed) and full on with last white and last 3 black). Keeping the on button depressed for 10 seconds.
The CVP has not been abused, but now its silent with a gloomy future.!

Can you help?
I have the display, but EVERY button pressed does nothing.
Grand Piano works, but can't change it.
I have tried the partial reset (top key), and the full reset (top key and top 3 blacks) to no avail.
Is there anything else I can do

Display does not work
by: Pete

The partial reset turned my display back on but lost my presets. I was about to junk my Clavinova but found this web site just in time. Thank you guys so much.
Hold the top white key down while turning on the main switch.

Solved
by: Rebecca

I've solved my problem using the partial reset that Marco told us about. Thanks Marco!!I pressed thelast white key while turning the clavinova on, the partial reset didn't empty my recordings and it unlocked the screen. Perfect! Thanks every body!

CVP 401 Functions

Dear Marco: I'm not familiar with your unit. On PSR models a Partial Reset or a Full Reset usually does the trick. First save any recordings you've made, then for a Partial Reset, press the last white key WHILE turning your unit ON. If you want to try a Full Reset, press the last white key AND last three black keys WHILE turning your unit ON. If these suggestions work, please let us know. Grazie!
