Yamaha CLP 122S Problems

We have just given our old Yamaha clp 122s to our daughter - it has been stored under a bed for 10 years and seems fine but I can't get the demo tunes to work - I can't get the lights to flash when I press the MIDI key and the 7th C together?


Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
