Sustain Pedal Works In Reverse
by: Anonymous

It sounds like you are having an issue with your sustain pedal not functioning properly on your Yamaha Model 620 keyboard. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem:

Check the pedal settings: Some keyboards have settings that allow you to adjust the way the sustain pedal works. Make sure that the sustain pedal is set to function correctly in your keyboard's settings.

Check the pedal connection: Make sure that the sustain pedal is securely plugged into the sustain pedal jack on your keyboard. If the connection is loose or damaged, the pedal may not function correctly.

Check for physical damage: If the sustain pedal is visibly damaged or has come loose from its mount, it may not be functioning properly. In this case, you may need to have the pedal repaired or replaced.

Check for a stuck sustain pedal: If the sustain pedal is stuck in the down position, it may be causing the opposite effect you are expecting. Try pressing the pedal up and down to see if it is stuck. If it is, you may need to clean or lubricate the pedal mechanism.

I hope these suggestions help you to fix the problem with your sustain pedal. If you are unable to resolve the issue, it may be a good idea to contact a Yamaha service center for further assistance.
