Single Finger Chords

I have been given a PSR 125, and I have downloaded the manual for it but I can't work out how to get the single finger chord option to work. I just seem to activate the auto accompaniment which I do not want. I am a complete beginner so do not want to complicate things. I would be grateful if anyone can tell me how to play single finger chords with my left hand with no accompaniment. Thank you.

I have a Yamaha PSR E363. When I use the "music data base" it has voice and style already programmed. Does it also have the chord setting too?
