Repair or buy new motherboard for Yamaha CVP 600?

We have a Yamaha CVP 600 from 1998. In the last few months, we had no sound from the instrument. Now the technician said either it can be repaired with $250 or you have to order new motherboard for around $600.

My question is: which is better? Repair or get a new motherboard?
And what is the price of a new motherboard? What is the part no. of motherboard ? Can we find this motherboard in different product or it is special for CVP 600?
