With my keyboard, you have to plug in the sustain pedal first and then power on the keyboard or it works backwards. Have you tried that?

I found the answer today

Hi there,

Just turn the pedal over and there should be a switch on the bottom. Flip it and your problem should be solved.

p.s. It may be a little hard to see.

Same Problem - No solution yet

I just purchased the SO8 today and I'm having the same exact problem. I tried to figure it out via the manual but had no success.

I hope someone knows the answer.

Turn the pedal around! I think you have it backwards!
