noisy keyboard

All the keys give a hefty clunk when released after being used. Is there an adjustment to damp them, or does some felt or other means need replacing?

Thank you

clunking keys
by: Cheryl

I had this issue also and called my piano store. They have a technician that repairs clavinovas. It was an easy and inexpensive fix.

There is a felt pad that all the keys hit and it gets hard over a few years and without the soft cushioning the keys make this clunking noise.

The felt strip is replaced and problem solved.
