looping music without the metronome

by Charmaine

When we try to loop a section of music, when it plays back, it always has a 4 count of metronome that plays at the beginning of the loop. How do you turn that off?

A-day late and a dollar short.
by: McG

Wow this didn't actually fix the problem. My loop was only 4 measures so I hit the b tbutton at 3 and then when I recorded it I played 1 measure into my daw.

Why?
by: Rui

So simple and so useful and yet impossible on the PSR E453! Why all those buttons if it can't even loop? UNBELIEVABLE!

Not solve for me, dgx 505
by: Charlie

This trick did not work for me. Is there any Yamaha support eng who could tell us how to disable that annoying metronome during playback? All I want is to loop continuously, simple as that...

SOLVED!!
by: john

Hi, it is actually possible. I have figured it out. Press the a-b repeat button once, play the song, press stop once and then press play. The song will then repeat forever without the measure in between iterations! Works on my dgx500!

I don't know if it was I glitch or not, but I pulled off that trick once by accident on my dgx500 and i can't figure out how to do it again. So, it might be possible. I think I will be investing in a pedel looper anyway. I agree that this should be a well documented feature.

No infinite looping?
by: SANDYMAN41

I bought a yamaha (dgx something) for myself and for a couple of my sons so we could (among other things) program infinite loops of chords (say 12 bar blues) to practice guitar with.
Then I find out these Yamahas don't do that anymore (my old psr ?? used to).

If you record 12 bar blues it will playback 12 bars and then give you a metronome count-in and play 12 more bars.
No infinitely repeating loops (unless you record infinitely many chord...which exceeds memory on my model)

THIS IS A REAL BUMMER. YAMAHA MUST KNOW THAT THIS IS A USEFULE FEATURE?
WHAT INEXPENSIVE KEYBOARDS ($100-$500) HAVE THIS FEATURE? YAMAHA OR OTHERS?
