Loading Registration Files (,rgt) from USB Drive - Yamaha CVP-509

by Bob E.

I downloaded several registration files (.rgt) from the Internet with the intention of loading them on my CVP-509. I copied the files from the USB to a USER blank registration folder uand tried to open one of the files. When I did I got an error message, "Registration File Not Loaded Correctly." I check my Clavinova User for instructions but found nothing. Any ideas?

It's possible that the registration files you downloaded are not compatible with your Yamaha CVP-509 or may be corrupted. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Check if the registration files are compatible with your Clavinova model. You can usually find this information on the website where you downloaded the files from or in the file's documentation.

2. Make sure that you have placed the registration files in the correct folder on your USB drive. Double-check that the files are in the USER folder and not in a subfolder.

3. Try downloading the registration files again from a different source to make sure that the files are not corrupted.

4. If none of the above solutions work, try resetting your Yamaha CVP-509 to its factory settings. This will erase all the data on your instrument, including your current registrations, so be sure to back up any important data first.

5. If the problem persists, contact Yamaha support for further assistance. They may be able to provide more specific troubleshooting steps or help you determine if there is a hardware issue with your instrument.

Hi Bob, yes, I have the same problem.
They maybe zip files as they are only a few bytes, but, cannot unzip them, most frustrating.
Hopefully someone has some ideas!!
