Clean your contacts NEW
by: Eric

My E and A# quit working...took out the 17 Phillips screws on the bottom holding the case together with a long bit, using a cordless drill, removed the screws holding the keys in place, and vaccumed out the debris...including some glitter(from the previous owner)...cleaned the contacts with WD40 contact cleaner...reassembled. About 1/2 hour job..with the drill. Worked like a charm.

psr e313 sharp f key not working
by: Anonymous

I have a yamaha psr e313 keyboard and only the f sharp in the 4th octave doesn't work. All the other keys work. It's as if the key contact pad stopped working. Does anyanyone know how to chang the contact pads? I found a place to buy the parts, but wondering if I can fix it myself. I tried taking it apart but I couldn't get to the key contact pads.
Please help!

Holding + and -
by: Kayte

Geoff... Thanks! I was having this problem too. The "reset" worked for my weird intermittently silent-keyed piano.

E not working
by: Geoff

For the PSR295 previously mentioned, a 'reset' restored the E on one occasion, cleaning the contact on another.
I think the factory reset is pressing the + and - keys at the same time (as on the PSR413e). Sometimes resets are made by holding down one of the keys while switching the unit on. I don't know if such an option exists on these models.

PSR-E313 E keys not functioning
by: Anonymous

I have a Yamaha PSR E313 and E keys (all octaves) intermittently stop working and then come back suddenly. Please - if someone knows it this can be fixed, let me know. I will have to get a new keyboard otherwise - it's almost new!

E not working
by: Geoff

A friend couldn't get middle E to play on his PSR 295 yesterday evening. It happened on a previous occasion, but seemed to correct itself a day or two later for no obvious reason. Will get back if we find an answer.
