Electron MC200 - Pulsing noise when switched on

We have a Electron MC200. Over the last couple of weeks we have played it for about 30 minutes and then stopped.

Then either wihtin these 30 minutes or after when I have stopped a loud pulsing noise sounds all lights are out including the power supply light. But still this noise continues.

Yesterday when turning on the organ this noise started imediatally.

Still there was no power lights or other lights lit.

Yamaha Electone MC 200
by: Alfred

Dear Kevin: My humble opinion is that the problem you describe should definitely be attended to by a qualified Organ/Keyboard technician. The little I have gleaned regarding the Electone MC 200 is that it was released by Yamaha in 1985, it looks pretty much like a three-tiered Spinet, and the (circuitry) innards are probably Solid State. Seek out a reliable technician with a proven track record in your area. What you decide to pay for the service depends on how much you "love" your MC 200. I own a much earlier (1976 DK 40 C) Electone and my few repair bills have been well worth the investment. Good luck, and thank you for participating in this Forum.
