Can you lock the Yamaha CVP-709

I have a CVP-709 and would like to know if there is a lock that can prevent the piano from being played without entering a code? I know about the "piano room" lock to prevent from changing settings, but I want to be able to "disable" the piano for a lack of better terms.

Locking the Yamaha CVP-709
by: YKG

The Yamaha CVP-709 does not have a built-in feature to lock the piano with a code to prevent it from being played. However, there are a few options you can consider:

1. Physical lock: You can use a physical lock or cable lock to secure the piano's lid, preventing it from being opened and played.

2. Piano room lock: As you mentioned, the CVP-709 has a "piano room" lock that prevents changes to the instrument's settings. You can use this feature to lock the piano and prevent changes to its settings, which may deter someone from trying to play it.

3. Power off: You can simply turn off the power to the piano when you're not using it. This will prevent anyone from playing the piano until the power is turned back on.

If you're looking for a more robust solution that allows you to lock the piano with a code, you may want to consider installing an aftermarket piano lock or contacting a professional technician to discuss custom solutions.
