All of my g keys stopped working. I have tried cleaning the contacts but still not responding. Would replacing the key contact board fix my issue? I have a yamaha clavinova cvp-303

All G Keys Stopped Working on Yamaha Clavinova CVP-303 NEW
by: Anonymous

If you have already tried cleaning the contacts and the G keys on your Yamaha Clavinova CVP-303 are still not responding, it is possible that the key contact board may be the issue. The key contact board is responsible for translating the physical key presses into digital signals that the instrument's internal computer can understand, so if it is malfunctioning, that could be the reason for the problem.

However, before you purchase a replacement key contact board, it's recommended to do some additional troubleshooting to confirm that the issue is with the key contact board and not something else. Here are a few things you can try:

Check if other keys on your Clavinova are also not working. If other keys are not working, it is more likely that the issue is with the keyboard's internal circuitry, rather than with individual keys.

Try playing the G notes using a different instrument or device, such as a MIDI keyboard connected to your computer. If the G notes play normally on a different device, it is more likely that the issue is with the Clavinova's internal components rather than with the key itself.

Try performing a factory reset on your Clavinova to see if this resolves the issue. To do this, refer to the user manual or contact Yamaha customer support for instructions.

If none of the above troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, then it is likely that the key contact board needs to be replaced. In this case, it is recommended to contact Yamaha customer support or a certified technician to assist you with the replacement process, as this can be a complex and delicate procedure.
