Dust?
by: Dick Rector

Hi Ian,

If not the connections are broken underneath try an AIRspray-can (NOT Hairspray!!)it is possible that dust or another foreign object under the keys are giving you this problem.
A very good website with a lot of advice is the PSR Performers homepage.
Good luck

PSR-540 some keys has no sound
by: Roly Castillo

Hi Ian,

I don't know if you have solve your no sound on your keyboard already. But just to let you know that I have the same problem with my PSR-540 long time ago. I ordered a rubber keypad assembly from Yamaha support to replaced the worn out (no contact) middle section of the keys. I think their are 3 or 4 sections; just tell the support what keys has no sound. They are like remote control keypad about a foot long. To replace it, you need to flip it over, remove the bottom cover, carefully backlash the keypad parts but sort out all parts/screws or draw them so you could remember putting them back together. I hope this helps. (^_^)
