Ypt 400 - Arpeggio
by: Alfred

Dear Ron: I checked a U Tube example (PSR E 403 U Tube) and found a short rendition of Charles Randall playing Arpeggio on his unit (same as ours). No doubt he started off playing with his right hand (Melody side), so that's our answer.
My version of the Owner's Manual will say so.
Regards.

YPT 400 Arpeggio
by: Alfred

Dear Ron: Sorry for delay in getting back to you. I've only recently "diddled" with my keyboard, and suggest you try using the Split Point feature (F#2) separating the Accompaniment from the Melody to see if it helps. While it may have no direct bearing on our units,I just recently learned that the Yamaha keyboards made for India seem to have the "Indian music styles" played in the Melody section!?!? I should also mention that I find the YPT 400 Owner's Manual more confusing than helpful, and am in the process of "re-writing" it. If and when I complete my work, I will be happy to email it to you, if you can wait that long! In the meantime enjoy learning the many features of your keyboard.

Hi Alfred. Saw your August 10 comment. If your previous interpretation is wrong, what is the right interpretation?

Arpeggio with YPT 400
by: Alfred

Dear Ron: If you have not yet figured out your question, refer to the YPT 400 Manual, page 14. I have this same unit, and the way I interpret the text is that Arpeggio is automatically added to the RIGHT hand (Melody) and not the left. Good luck.
