Yamaha DGX 360 - Uploading UserSong

by Brandon
(Guam)

I am a recording artist, and I use the Yamaha DGX 360 often.

I found out today that something was wrong with the uploading tracks.
I was recording the beat of my song while using the DRUM KITS on the keyboard. Then, I uploaded the track into my computer via USB Flash Drive. The sound came out as a piano! So what happened? Shouldn't it be playing a drum voice? Please help.

wrong track

Hi Brandon,

I don't know how to solve it on your computer but I do know what it is!
Your keyboard is using the midi-format-0 and the software on your computer is most likely using midi-format-1. Meaning: (drum)track 10 is using on the computer track 9 (or 11) and that gives usually an irritating piano-sound in the rhythm of the drums.

Hope this puts you on the right 'track' to solve the problem.

Regards
Dick
