Transferring songs from a PSR-1500 to computers

by Edwin
(Ghana)

I've recorded loads of songs on my PSR-1500 that i desperately need to get on PC.Av tried copyin them off as MIDI files unto PC, but playback on PC is horrible.....sounds nothing like what i did on the keyboard. I tried using the USB-MIDI cable thingy but i don't quite understand that concept. Can any1 briefly help me by tellin me exactly what kind of hardware n software i need to have, and what to do with them?

Using a thumb drive to copy files
by: Art Pemberton

I have also attempted to transfer files from the PSR1500 onto a thumb drive and it continues to ask for formating the drive. I go through the steps and it indicates that the formating is complete, but when I try to copy a file to the thumb drive, it asks for formating again. ????

Transferring songs...
by: Katherine

Yes, you can transfer songs from the Keyboard to computers. Don't use Midi format, just save the songs played into the Keyboard then transfer into a
Flash or Thumbdrive, or Sound Card and connect to your PC; then save them into the PC and you can play the songs in Windows Media Player. You can later convert to MP3 format and burn into CD. Have done this many times for wedding functions, and the sound is marvelous.

Enjoy
