Sticky/broken keys - Yamaha Clavinova
by: Anonymous

Many of the Yamaha Clavinovas have a manufacturing defect in the keys. You should call Yamaha, give them your serial number - and they will tell you whether or not your model qualifies for a keybed replacement. This is an amazing deal - you practically get a new keyboard - AT NO COST TO YOU. This is completely covered by Yamaha - and, you do not need to have a receipt. They will refer you to one of their warranty service centers who will perform the work.

Sticky Keys CVP 290
by: Alfred

Dear Maree: Try the following, and if the procedures do not cure your problem, you should SEEK THE AID OF A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN:
1) Blow out the perimeter(s) of the offending keys
with compressed air (from a can).
2) Follow with a STRONG vacuuming around the same area.
3)With a dry water-color brush gently apply a moderate bit of talcum powder in the same area.
