Sticky key

I have an old CLP 560 with a key that doesn't pop back up. I can't find an exploded drawing, so I can't figure out how to take it apart. Does anybody have an exploded drawing of any of the CLP's? Or a shop manual? Or any tips on how to unstick a key? Thanks!

Stickey key
by: Dick Rector

Hi Walker,

Just a thought about the same problem some time ago! My friends little girl dropped some lemonade on his keyboard.
We 'repaired' the sticky key after the stuff was dry by blowing (with a drink-straw) a tiny little bit of talcum powder (baby powder) under and next the bandit and it worked fine since.
(Smelled nicer tooo!! No, don't ask me what brand it was!)
Mind, this is not an official method advised by Yamaha but it did the job. Of course it will not work if it is a broken spring or something like that.
If you try it, let us know if it works for you.
Good luck

Dick

Sticky Key CLP 560

Dear Walker: You probably have already tried this; Go to Yamaha Official Site and thread your way to their Parts Manual page. If you're lucky you may find the exploded view you seek. It may be that because your Unit is 19 years old, it will no longer be featured through the suggested link. I have ever tried SAM'S for keyboard schematis, but it just might be worth a try. Good luck.
