Yamaha Warranty Details

I am purchasing PSR I-425 this week. When I enquired about the warrenty details, I came to know that at various places warrenty period differs. Few say it is for 1 year and few other say it is for 3 years, and those sellers are not giving yamaha certified warrenty card, they just give one of their own. So how should I go about it? Help me..

Dear Aswin: I can only tell you that keyboards usually are sold with a factory warranty. If a seller's warranty is offered it may be as good as one backed by the factory. SUCH COVERAGE SHOULD
BE FOR AT LEAST AS LONG AS ONE FROM THE FACTORY
AND YOU SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT THE STORE IS RELIABLE AND HAS QUALIFIED TECHNICIANS AT HAND TO ATTEND TO ANY PROBLEMS WHICH MAY ARISE DURING THE
LIFE OF THE WARRANTY. Isn't there an official Yamaha Distributor or Representative in your area who can be consulted before you buy? Good luck.
