Yamaha PSR-E213 doesn't start up

I just bought new Yamaha PSR-E213 from guitar center, and when i hooked it up with the power supply, it doesnt start up. what's going on?

PSR E213 not startting up

Dear Zeon: If you still have the bill, take the Keyboard and the Adaptor back to the store ASAP. Have them plug in the Adaptor and turn on the Keyboard. If it starts up, play the keys for sound, etc. If everything works, it's possible that the house outlet you used is defective. If results at the store are negative, exchange the unit and Adaptor for new ones.
