Lost our Yamaha PSR-6300 also
by: paul

Hi
We have lost ours as well and when we find a solution we will post on this site.
One advice given to us was to get an electrical person at a PA repair site to make a plug to fit and the other was to replace the plug in the keyboard to a common plug.
We will keep posted and keep and eye out on your page.

Lost power cord
by: Anonymous

Like some other people out there, we purchased a Yamaha PSR 6300 keyboard at an estate sale which appears to be in excellent condition, but lacked the power cord. If anyone knows where one can be purchased, let us all know. Another question I have is that since there is no batter pack and it has a 120 volt AC rating on the back, does this mean it can be connected directly to an outlet without a transformer?

Missing power cord for Yamaha PSR 6300 Keyboard
by: Anonymous

I have contacted Yamaha and was informed that they no lonnger supply the cords for the PSR 6300 key board. However, their technician advised me to have a repairman of equipment such as this, do away with the factory plug-in and tie an extention cord to the wires on the inside.

This model can be connected directly to a 120 volt AC outlet which is standard in most homes. No transformer is needed. I proved this out by taking a Christmas light connector where there is a male and female connection as a part of it. I whittled it down so it would fit in the recess and enlarged the openings to accomodate the the prongs on the back of the keyboard. That left the male prongs on the outside where I was able to plug in a standard extention cord and then plug the other end into the outlet on the wall. It worked and I had power for the instrument.
