Yamaha PSR S710 Review

Yamaha PSR S710 Review

In this review we take a look at the Yamaha PSR-S710 keyboard. Most of the major online keyboard outlets sell this keyboard for about $1,099.99. Not bad.

The Yamaha PSR S710 comes with 61 keys. One of the features I'm happy about is the addition of the USB audio recording capabalities. This is great for beginners, hobbyists and pros alike. You can record your playing to a USB memory stick as a WAV file. It's a great way to capture your ideas and record your performances.

Yamaha PSR S710

There are so many great features in this keyboard. These include

  • 128-note polyphony

  • huge sonic palette with over 850 incredible instrument Voices, including some from the PSR-S900

  • large, easy-to-read screen

  • Internet Direct Connect and USB connectivity

  • Dozens of effects

  • realistic built-in accompaniment with enhanced guitar styles

  • 16-track sequencer

  • audio recorder

Onboard speakers are always a great addition to a keyboard, particularly when it's being used in the home. Just plug your Yamaha PSR S710 keyboard and start playing. No need to hook up an amplifier. And since there's a headphone output, to practice silently, all you have to do is plug in your headphones. That way you don't disturb anybody.

If you're looking for scores of sweet sounds, you've got it. You have as many as 850 sounds from pianos to acoustic guitar tones. You can give your tones dimension with 42 reverb effects and 71 chorus effects.
