Yamaha PSR s500 versus the dgx 620.

(London, UK)
Mantius, a huge thank you from London, UK. Your site is great. Now I've been wanting to upgrade for years from my petty key lighting Casio I have had for years! I've been moving around with studies and what have you and am a bit of a commitment freak when it comes to making decisions. I almost bought the PSR550 a few years ago. Today I wish I had made that purchase. However I am torn between the dgx 620 and the psr s500 (almost same price here in the UK around the £400 mark which is my budget). I played piano as a child amongst other things and used to write melodies. I would really like to be able to sequence various tracks, I just don't know if the psr s500 can outweigh the weighted keys of the dgx 620 (I am now used to light keys but I do appreciate the feeling and expression you can transpose into your mucic with weighted keys which you simply cannot do with unweighted keys and you end pressing too hard or not enough, my casio is crap for nuances). However the psr does have 9 tracks and the dgx only 6 although I do think this would be sufficent (I mean I do have a pc but I don't know the last thing about using my pc as a sequencing workstation). Regardless of what my needs are, which one do you prefer the psr s500 or the dgx 620? Honest opinion? Before ordering online, I'm popping into a music store tomorrow to try them both out hopefully, but I would appreciate the true opinion of someone of your calibre. I'll post a review of the keyboard I purchase obviously on your web site! Best regards, Dominic.
