Yamaha PSR e313 - Turn off single finger chords

by dave
(UK)

Im learning the keyboard and i want to learn fingered chords as i go.

I like the auto accomplaniment but it always uses the single finger method.

Can i use the accmp without single fingered chords? if so how do i select fingered instead of single finger chords?

i have looked in the manual and it seems to call it standard, but i cannot see where i turn it to standard instead on single fingered.

please help

I asked yamaha and they say it auto detects either, if you play a chord properly it auto detects its fingered and visa versa for single fingered.

I would prefer to turn it off though.

I have the same problem. Maybe it does automatically detect the fingered chord, but it sounds the same as the 1-finger chord. So why use fingered chords?
I wanted to learn fingered chords and still use auto accompaniment. Seems like it should sound different. This is my first keyboard, and I am confused!
