I can't get me psr 620 to play midi files from floppy

Hi All,

I can't get my psr 620 to play midi files from floppy, i download the files from pc to floppy, the keyboard will bring the song name up on the screen but doesn't do any more than that, the execute light does'nt flash and i can't load the tune.
What am i doing wrong??
Please help!!

Hi. I am Eric from Mauritius. I have a psr20 too. You have to make sure that the file on the floppy is in midi 0 Format. NOT midi 1. Have the file checked on a midi editor (Cakewalk) and save it as your file name.mid 0.

Yamaha PSR 620, some keys stopped working

Hi,
I linked my PSR 620 to my pc via an emu Xmidi 1x1 midi-usb lead. I tried to get the keyboard to play a midi file from the pc, it played it's own demo song at the speed of the midi file required. When i unlinked he pc, i find that 10 of the keys are not producing any sound. Any idea's?

Hi,

Yes you can but it has to be the same as Yamaha uses because not all of them work the same.
There is also a replacement for an flashdisk-drive possible. Cost you 100 US$ + 20 US$ sending by DHL.
I am NOT the vendor but if you are interested send me your mailaddress and I send you a zipfile with all the info from my own experience. It works wonderful!
