YAMAHA PSR 550

Hi all

i am deciding to buy a new keyboard in which particularly what i look for is great piano sound as well as nice sexaphone sound..Only in the price range in which i am looking i can see PSR 550 to fit the bill..Any suggestions from users who have used PSR 550 how is it like overall.(especially wiht piano and other instrumental sound quality)

Frankly, the sounds are fairly good but not great (depends on what you define as great, of course!).

What I have observed is that in some instruments (I don't remember if it was in piano, but may be in one of the Sax), there is a tonal quality difference between some adjacent keys. For example, from C1 to B2 it sounds one way, then from C3 to B4 it sounds slightly different and again from C5 to B5 it is different.

If you are going in for PSR 550, if you can test it, play ALL the keys on the instrument you are interested in.
