Yamaha PSR 330 backlight

The backlight of our Yamaha PSR 330 is flashing when we play on the keyboard. This is very annoying, no need to say. What could be the cause of this ? Peter

I had same problem with this keyboard, but sometimes it turned off. Problem was in adapter, it was wery poor, it cant get more energy in to keyboard. (Sorry for my bad English)

problem solved by handy daddy...

Hi there...

I found the solution myself but I had to open the casing in order to repair it. A badly soldered component (triac) on the pcb of the power supply was the culprit. Playing the piano caused the component to vibrate, making the backlight flicker....

End of story...
