settings...

go into your song/audio settings. set the buffer rate differently, itll depend on your system.. and its been a while, so it may be all the way right or all the way left... youll have a buffer size slider you can manipulate... move it around til it sounds better..

An increased buffer rate will bog down a slower system, as it is preparing portions of the track in the memory before actually playing the song. It seems like I put the buffer rate all the way down to 0 or so for my input.. (again, its been years) Then I would increase it for playback.

The problem it latency, or a delayed communication problem... look up the word for exact definitions... hope this helps

im an idiot...
by: Z-Achxis

i just re-read what you posted.

The length of the sample is contingent on a couple things.. youll need a better keyboard 1, :) and 2, the length of the sample is what is doing it. There is a chance you can go right click on the sample in the sequencer and (sorry, going off of memory, im not at home) go into the envelope, adjust the vol properties. You want to increase the release, the sustain, and/or decay knobs until the sound stays for a while. learn the evnelope, its a great tool for FL. Try this on a snyth.. not really something like a snare, tom, hi hat, etc.

Save often :)

hope this helps
