Yamaha P140 Review

Yamaha p140 review

I am somewhat happy with this product, but overall think it's overpriced. It cost almost double the p8o (replaces p70) but dsnt provide dble the value. The action is a little better than the p80, and the matte finish on the keys is better than the chessy gloss, both for looks and feel. The sounds are simlilar, tho the 140 has better speakers it seems. If you really are a pianist the increased poloyphony shouldnt matter. If you want to use the thing as sort of stereo playback system for orchestrated music requiring that many voices, ok.

IMO, this product's main claim to fame. for Yamaha anyway, is that it represents the 1000$ "price-point", while it should for more honest pricing be, at most, only a couple hundred more than the p80. Arguably, the action on it is one of the best available, tho, like so many other digital pianos of all brands, seems a bit too easy compared to an acoustic piano.
