Yamaha Motif ES6 all of a sudden no audio

I have recently bought a Yamaha Motif ES6 and know little about the keyboard, but i am learning. ..

Now today, when switching the Motif on, everything -looked- normal, but I get no sound, neither on the main outputs, nor on headphones.

Solution for no sound on Motif

Okay, after some thinking, I realized all the visual functions were there, so, I assumed a "hanging" output section. Having been around with computers for a while, I thought of doing a factory reset. I did do some research before, though, and used a USB stick to do "File" "Save" "ALL" to backup my user files before that. Then, the "Utility" "Reset" "Yes" did the job. Immediately after the reset went through, the Motif was back to normal, no need to turn the device off and on.

Although I find it a bit disturbing that the thing just decided to go dumb, I like the ease by which the repair can be done. So: make sure you always carry a USB Stick in your pocket!!
