Yamaha MO6 - Saving user edited performances

When I save a user edited performance to my MO6, does that erase the default performance? If so, how do I keep the both the default performance and my edited performance?

Tim, just save it under a different name.

But then, don't I have to erase something else? All performances under User1 and User2 already have performances assigned to them. I don't want to lose any, I just want to add my own. How do I keep my performance without losing any others?
