Yamaha MM8 annoying keyboard noise

Hi There
I've had my Yamaha mm8 from new for about 6 months. Not long after I got it the keyboard started developing a very annoying noise which keeps affecting more keys along time. the noise is like the keys are rubbing against each other creating this tiny 'ffft....ffft' noise when played.
1. is this a common issue with this mechanism and is it gonna keep getting worse? I recently checked a demo P85 in a shop that had the same noise
2. is there any way to eliminate this some how?

Hi Jamie,

No nonsense, I would take the keyboard straight back to the dealer as this is not normal and it is still under guarantee.

Treble G

I have gone through 4 MM8s all with one common problem: Treble G sinks with no resistance and makes a high pitch sounds. In some of them this issue spread to G# too.
The best thing would be to contact Yamaha.

Yamaha MM8 noise

Extreamly noisey output! The keyboardist for the group I'm in owns one of these and it has the worst output noise I have ever heard. Yamaha blew it on this design!

i also purchased a yamaha mm6 and 6 months in i have periodic i would say weekly noise and keys banging loudly,granted i i may have had some dust affect it but generally i keep it covered ,i get out of tune keys and i have no recourse seeing that i live in the Bahamas ,my next keyboard will be a Korg!
