Yamaha kx49 - driver does not install automatically in vista.

Hello Sir,
I cant get my kx 49 to communicate with my computer. I'm running Windows Vista 64 and whenever I plug in the usb cable it trys to read the driver but does not find it and gives me a " driver installation unsuccessful" msg. I've followed the instructon for loading (via the included adobe pdf) but no luck yet.
