Yamaha KX49 and ASUS EEE PC 1000HD don't work!

Hi there,

I want to connect my Yamaha KX49 to my ASUS EEE PC 1000HD to use the KX49 with Cubase A14, that came with the KX49.

I already installed Cubase and the additional tools to easy connect the KX49 with Cubase A14 (transportcontrols etc.) and then installed the driver for the KX49, as stated in the manual. The Asus does recognize the new hardware as Yamaha KX49 and installs the driver.

When I start up Cubase, the program is working ok but DOES NOT recognize the KX49. No MiDI-activity! Also, in de Device-menu, the KX49 does not appear. I already downNloaded the most recent veRsion of the driver FOR THE kx49 from the Yamaha-site. No efect.

Previously, I used the KX49/Cubase A14 with a HP-laptop (which I unfortunately had to give to my daughter for school) and that worked fine.

I there someone out there who can help me?
