Yamaha DGX500 Review

The Yamaha DGX500 is one of Yamaha's top selling portable keyboards. This Yamaha keyboard comes with 88 keys and has a strong piano focus. The piano sound is one of the features that appeal to me the most.

Highly Recommended: Go here for the BEST piano/keyboard course I’ve seen on the Internet.

I spent some time playing the DGX500 at a keyboard store and was really impressed. I don't know how to explain it, but the Yamaha DGX500 really has a way of grabbing your attention. I must admit that I had a great time playing it. I don't want to sound like I'm trying to sell this keyboard to you, but my honest opinion is that the price (less than $700) is really a very attractive one for all the features that the keyboard comes with. Again, this is just my personal opinion and you're free to disagree.

Yamaha DGX500

One thing I didn't like about the DGX500 was the fact that I found the piano volume to be a little low. Maybe it was just me. Obviously, if you're using external speakers this wouldn't be a concern.

Normally, I focus more on the internal aspects of a keyboard and its looks are secondary. However, with respect to this one I have to make an exception. This music keyboard simply looks great. It comes with a very nice wooden stand or cabinet, making it even more valuable.

I admit that there are many Yamaha keyboards and other portable keyboards which would beat the Yamaha DGX 500. But when compared to other musical keyboards which cost the same, this keyboard really stands out.

For less than $700, I believe that this Yamaha keyboard is worth it.
