Yamaha CVP-305 Clavinova optical out not working

Hi - i just tried to hook my CVP-305 optical out to my motu traveler mk3, via adat lightpipe. The motu is not seeing the digital signal. I also tried plugging this same optical out into my Akai DR-16 adat input, but the akai will not see the signal either. The akai says 'bad input' when trying to digitally sync with the CVP-305.

Is there any setting on the CVP-305 that i need to change to get the optical out working? I'd really like to use it for recording.

Optical out to MOTU Traveler Mk3 is TOSLink

I discovered that the optical out on the Yamaha CVP-305 is TOSLink, which is 2-ch stereo. I just needed to change my optical IN on the MOTU Traveler Mk3 to TOSLink. By default, the Traveler Mk3 optical in/out banks are set to ADAT lightpipe.
