Yamaha cvp 96 bottom half of keyboard not working

Unfortunately the lower half of the keyboard is not working- no sound at all- but the upper keys (from the f below middle c upwards, which appears to be the default split point?) work fine.

I've tried messing about changing the split point, and factory re-set but these have not fixed the issue. Would be grateful for any advice
