Yamaha Clavinova CLP-930 Computer Compatibility

Midi In Thru and Out

Midi In Thru and Out

I have a Yamaha Clavinova CLP-930. It's a very nice piano, with very good sound and feel. I just need to know if there are any compatibility problems between my piano, and a Windows XP computer. I want to connect a laptop to my piano via midi in/out cord. Is there anything wrong with doing this?

Clavinova midi to computer USB connection
by: Bazza 4570

To establish a connection between CLP-930 and your computer you will need a Midi to USB interface. Yamaha have one and there are several generic brands from your local electronic store.

If this doesn't work you may need to download a Yamaha Midi Driver and the Yamaha Musicsoft Downloader - these are available from the "Yamaha pk Club" site.

Good luck!
