Would a Yamaha PSR-400 keyboard be appropriate for a beginner?

I have the opportunity to borrow a Yamaha PSR 400 keyboard from a friend to take beginner piano lessons. Would this be an appropriate piano to use until I decide if I will stick with lessons and make the investment in a new portable piano. I live in a condo so a full size piano of any type is not an option. I need to be able to use a headset when I practice. Thanks.

Sure it is. Do with what you have right now until you have a better keyboard. Go right ahead and practice away.

I started playing piano/synth when i started secondary school in 2003, and the PRS-400 was my first keyboard. It's a great piece of kit and it is still my main keyboard. Go for it, if you haven't already
