what MIDI connection with MAC using Garageband to Yamaha DGX-640 piano

I have downloaded the MAC Yamaha DGX-640 application for the USB-MIDI

When I connect up the Piano with my Mac and open Garageband and Garageband is saying it is not acknowledging Keyboard connection??

Am I using the incorrect MIDI CABLE?? What should I be using?

Do I have to do something with the Yamaha Piano to get the Mac and Keyboard to recognise each other??

Please assist because I just purchased this Piano 2 days ago with the intention of enjoying my Mac and Garageband Music Lessions etc.

There is USB host and USB Device. Which port are tyou connected to?

Can you please be off any assistance for me. I do have the same problem as you. I cannot connect my Garage band with my yamaha DGX 620 .
