Using keyboard to play midi in garageband

i have the proper chord hooked up to my keyboard and my computer...i am also going to function and hitting pc mode 1 and pc mode 2 (neither work)...ultimately when i click on a software track on garage band, no sound is coming out...what do i do?

You need to install the mac drivers for the keyboard, which can be found here:

http://www.global.yamaha.com/download/usb_midi/index.html

once installed it should work!
