What do i need to connect a Yamaha DGX 305 with a USB connection to control a Korg X5DR sound module which has MIDI ports only?

MIDI traffic manager

You'll need a pc connected in between the 305 and the korg. The USB of the 305 is no standard midi connector, but it needs a midi traffic manager that directs and translates the usb information of the 305 to midi signals for the korg.

USB needs a driver installation, and coz. u cannot install usb dirvers on a keyboard, u;ll need to install them on a pc and use a programm like cubase or cakewalk to manage the traffic of the signals between the 305 and the korg.

305USB---> PC with midi (gameport)---> Korg
