Trouble with the display - Yamaha PSR K1

I have a yamaha PSR K1. I am having trouble with the display. I dont see any text but only lines. Everything else on the keyboard, all functions etc. seems to be fine. I have taken off the cells, checked the adaptor etc.Please help me....
